 Daimer Industries Daimer Industries Company, a manufacturer and distributor of commercial cleaning equipment, has expanded its line of carpet cleaner XTreme Power, introducing the machines XPH-5400i and the XPC-12000. The first one is used to clean the houses; the second one is for commercial use. The new expansion of XTreme Power program is aimed at meeting the needs of multiple clients. XPH-5400i is a compact system for cleaning with warm water, and XPC-12000 is a pushed machine that provides the widest cleaning surface of the entire cleaning machines presented by Daimer. Continue reading  Floating wind turbines StatoilHydro and Siemens installed the world’s first large-scale floating wind turbines. The turbine is located approximately 12 kilometers from the Norwegian coast at a depth of about 220 meters. The project was designed by Hywind StatoilHydro, but Siemens supplied 2,3MW wind turbines SWT-2.3-82 with a rotor diameter of 82 m. Over the next two years, the floating wind turbine will be thoroughly tested to ensure complete analysis of this innovative concept. Turbina Hywind will be connected to the local grid and is expected to start producing energy in mid-July of 2009. Installing Hywind designed to operate in water depth of 120 to 700 m and this may open up some new opportunities for offshore wind turbine technology. Continue reading  Acciona built the stadium in Wroclaw for Euro 2012 The Spanish company ACCIONA signed a contract on construction of Municipal Stadium for 40 thousand spectators in Wroclaw through its Polish subsidiary company Mostostal Warszawa. This is one of a number of similar facilities built for the UEFA Cup in 2012, which will be adopted jointly by Poland and Ukraine. The contract is worth about 170 million Euros. Besides Mostostal, the consortium includes Wrobis, unit of Mostostal, as well as the Greek contractor J&P Ajax and design firm MCD.
